Toyota Etios sedan Attracting great demand

This is the first time that the company has introduced a model in the low ranged saloon segment and the company is expecting a lot from its Toyota Etios Sedan. The industry experts says that Toyota Kirloskar has a big challenge lined up that they have to make the delivery of its affordable saloon on time. Already the company has registered a booking of over 14,000 units and expects it to end at 17,000 units by December 2010.

Three months from now, the company will be coming up with the hatchback version of this exclusive beauty, Toyota Etios Liva which is expected to come at a price tag of Rs 4 lakh. Toyota Motors has marked a target of 70,000 unit production for Etios in the year 2011. Looking at the large scale bookings world wide, the company has to cancel all stops and have to manufacture on the maximum capacity. According to Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, the launch of Toyota Etios has given tremendous results that are above the expectations and company is proud to receive that but he also said that now the main target for them would be to provide good test drives once the car enters its dealership. As per the industry sources, Toyota Etios Saloon has taken up 65 % of the bookings while Toyota Etios Liva has grabbed 30 % while the rest 5 % goes to standard Toyota Etios priced below 5 Lakh.
