The madness amongst the Indian buyers have been unprecedented as seen in the case of Toyota Etios and the official launch date is sure to soothe the desperate sentiments of the Indian buyers. The bookings for the car would be opening anytime during December, while the car would roll out to the company showrooms in the month of January. The exact pricing of the car has not been disclosed officially, however it is speculated that the hatch would be shelved in the range of 4-5 Lacs, while the sedan would be priced in the bracket of 7-9 Lacs.

Toyota Etios would be first launched in India and exports may follow thereafter. The car is targeted towards the masses in India and is sure to give a tough run for money to its competitors in the respective segments. Toyota Etios hatchback and sedan models were displayed at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010, which received a tremendous response in the expo itself. The car is known to be a People's car and has encapsulated mostly domestic components making it affordable for the average Indian buyer.
