Toyota Etios displayed at Hyderabad Auto Expo today

Toyota Motors displayed their latest entrant in the automobile market Toyota Etios at the regional Auto Expo, Hyderabad. The car was earlier displayed at the Delhi Auto Expo this year. The Auto Expo at Hyderabad is a one of its kind regional Auto Expo, to officially start from 14th to 16th May'2010 and the venue chosen for this state-of art event is Hitex Exhibition Centre, Izzat Nagar, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Toyota Etios is going to be launched in 2 segments, viz, hatchback and sedan. The hatchback model would sport a 1.2L Petrol engine and would be shelved in the price range of 5 to 6 Lakhs. The sedan would come packed with a 1.5L petrol engine and would be slightly dearer in price compared to the hatchback. The sedan model of Toyota Etios would be launched in the price range of 6 to 8 lakhs. Although the exact date of launch has not been provided, but the industry sources suggest that the production of the car would start by year end and the launch would be in the early 2011.

The Auto Expo seems to be a proud moment for the Andhra Pradesh government which is evident in the way, the government is busy marketing the event. Major auto makers participating in the event are Toyota, Tata Motors, Hyundai, Honda Motorcycles, General Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, BMW, Yamaha, Fiat and TVS Motors.

Toyota Etios is a much hyped and a much awaited launch from the company. The present line-up of Toyota Motors in India is quite impressive with products like Toyota Corolla Altis, Toyota Innova, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Camry etc that are already doing quite well in their respective segments.
