Tata Nano emax CNG to be launched during Navratras

Putting an end to all the speculations regarding the delay of the much anticipated Nano CNG, Tata Motors has officially cleared that the CNG version of the car will be rolled out within the festive month October during Navratras, claims Financial Express. However, the report further claims that a Pan-India launch might happen later due.

Tata Nano emax CNG was unveiled at the Horizonext where Tata Motors unveiled a total 8 vehicles. The company also refreshed the Nano, where it received some cosmetic as well as feature changes. Tata Motors has tried everything to make Nano greener, as it is being said to produce a CO2 emission of only 75kg/gm. The Nano emax CNG sports an automatic CNG cut-off system and fuel quality checking system. And with a fuel tank capacity of 32-litre, the Nano CNG is capable of returning a whooping fuel efficiency of 36km/kg (ARAI Certified).

The CNG model of the car will be offered with a combination of 624cc petrol + CNG motor. While in petrol mode, it churns out the maximum power output of 37.5bhp, in CNG mode, it will produce 32bhp at 5500rpm, while yielding a maximum torque of 45NM at 3500rpm. This engine is couple to a five-speed (4 Forward and 1 reverse) manual transmission.
