Mahindra’s Auto Sector clocks its highest ever monthly sales of 36718 units

Mahindra & Mahindra a well known name in India is an expert in manufacturing automobiles known for its unbelievable power, comfort and simplicity. Mahindra Group's auto mobile arm Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M Ltd.) declared that the auto mobile company achieved the highest ever sales mark in January 2011; the auto company sold 36718 car models which was 30149 car models rolled out in January 2010. Attaining the accelerating sales figure the Indian utility maker witnessed an increase of 22 per cent in its sales.

Mahindra's sales for the Indian auto market laddered at 34601 car models in the first month of 2011 which was 28988 car models registered in January last year. The Indian auto giant has witnessed an increase of 19 per cent. However, the exports showcase a better picture by growing upto 80 per cent in the same time.

The Passenger car segment including Mahindra Logan and UVs accounted a growth of 15 per cent by selling 17208 car models for January 2011 over 14998 car models recorded in January last year. The four wheel pick up segment that includes Mahindra Maxximo, Mahindra Gio and the recently launched Mahindra Genio witnessed growth of 18 per cent.

Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive in the Automotive Division- Mahindra & Mahindra said that the company is extremely proud that in January 2011 the company has a record number of sales, as they sold 36718 car models. The company sold 1120 car model which records the maximum sales registered in the last 28 months time. He also said that with Mahindra Genio the company is sure to further cement its position in the pick up segment.

Mahindra has always given tyrant on road affixed with enough power to crush the hardest shore beneath.
