Honda Brio and City to Cost More from January 2013
The rising input cost and currency fluctuation has compelled all the automakers of India to increase prices of their models. In the morning only we reported that Nissan motors too has officially announced to increase the prices of its cars, however they haven't disclosed the new prices. Now we hear it from another Japanese auto giant, Honda's Indian arm, which has officially disclosed that the prices of both its flagship models Honda Brio and Honda City will be hiked in the range of 0.8%-1.65% on their current price.

The Revised prices will be effective from January 2013. So people interested in buying cars before that might still bring home the vehicle in the lower price. And it's not just Nissan and Honda Cars India to have declared price hikes on their vehicles, most automakers based out of India have either announced or in the process to do so. But they can't be blamed for this, as if they don't do it, they will have to bear the loss. And it's important to balance increasing cost and profit.
The other car makers who have announced the price hike are Maruti Suzuki India, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz and Audi, so CarDekho suggests its viewers to buy vehicles before that and also take the advantage of discounts and schemes offered during year-end sales programmes.
