Hindustan Motors-Mitsubishi duo drop out of Auto Expo
In contrary to the speculations, Hindustan Motors and Mitsubishi are not going to make it to the 2012 Auto Expo this time. The consumers were expecting some new cars from both the auto giants. Especially a lot was expected from the Japanese car manufacturer. Apart from Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, people were betting rather high on the small budget car Mitsubishi Mirage showcased at the Tokyo Motor show just recently. What other occasion would have been better than the 2012 Auto Expo to display the low priced small car.

Hindustan Motors on the other hand was expected to introduce the revamped version of the Hindustan Ambassador. Hindustan-Mitsubishi tie-up was to reach a next level endowing entire new nook to the almost extinct sedan. The generations old sedan with its existence since 1960s was hoped to cheer the consumers this time around with a new common rail turbo diesel engine apart from the exciting new look to the exteriors. A compact sedan version and a commercial vehicle based on the Hindustan’s flagship model Ambassador are the other products also supposed to make it to the 2012 Auto Expo.

So, what could be the reason to shy away from the exposition especially when they have cards up their sleeve to introduce. There are global luxury brands like Jaguar Land Rover who apparently chose Indian Auto Expo over the Detroit Motor Show. All the same, probably the duo choose to introduce their respective products on a different occasion. Whatever may be the reason, the 2012 Auto Expo is one of those most acclaimed events where companies have their new models stacked up particularly to showcase them at a more appropriate occasion. Around 2 million audience is expected this time at the event which is going to be held in 1.25 lakh acres of land.
