Chevrolet Sail Sedan Caught Testing – Spy Picture

The Chevrolet Sail sedan and hatchback have been doing loads of testing in different parts of the country. One of avid readers Mr Chaman, caught a glimpse of the sedan version of the Sail. The hatchback version of the Chevrolet Sail was unveiled at the Auto Expo, earlier this year. The Sail is the first GM car that is designed and developed completely in GM’s Chinese R&D centre- this includes both the hatchback and the sedan. The Sail gets the Chevrolet family design cues, which includes the high crown hood along with the large bowtie Chevrolet logo.

General Motors will soon replace the existing ageing Aveo with the new Sail. The new Chevrolet Sail will be powered a 100bhp 1.4-litre S-TEC III petrol engine and a 90bhp 1.3-litre multijet engine. The snout of the Sail has a typical Chevrolet design with the bowtie with a large headlamp cluster- similar to that of the Cruze. The front might be similar to the Cruze, but it is the rear where the difference comes in. We expect the Sail sedan and hatch to be launched by the last quarter of 2012.
