After 2012 Cruze in India, Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon set for a roll in the UK
The American based auto brand Chevrolet has been in news in India since the last few days because of the back to back launches. First in the evening of 26th June, they rolled out the facelift of Chevrolet Captiva and following it was the launch of the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze on 27th June morning, and it seems Chevrolet would further like to be the talk to the town for a little longer.

First in the evening of 26th June, they rolled out the facelift of Chevrolet Captiva and following it was the launch of the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze on 27th June morning, and it seems Chevrolet would further like to be the talk to the town for a little longer.
After the two launches in India, Chevrolet officially released the details and the price for the Station Wagon version of the Chevrolet Cruze for UK. The wagon will be available at a starting price of £15375 which is somewhere close to Rs. 12.30 Lakhs. It will be made available in 3 trims, the base trim LS, mid-range LT and the top of the range LTZ Nav. The Wagon will roll out with petrol as well as diesel engine. The petrol engine will be offered in 2 variants, 1.6-litre unit which will be capable of churning out a power of 122bhp and a 1.8-litre which will deliver 139bhp. Along with these, the diesel mill is 1.7-litre VCDi which can develop a power of 128bhp.
Coming to the comfort features, the base model will come with standard air conditioning, electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors, 12v power sockets, cargo restraint hooks along with remote control central locking, roof rails, electronic boot release and ESC and traction control. The mid range LT will be adorned with leather steering wheel and gear knob, fog lamps up front, electric rear windows, rear parking distance sensors. The top model, LTZ Nav additionally has 7inch color display screen, sat-nav, rain sensing wipers, electrochromatic self dipping mirror which adds to the safety and comfort of driving, rear parking sensor with rear view camera, electronic climate control and will have 17inch alloy wheels instead of the 16inch that are used in the LT.
It’s doubtful whether India will see the Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon since these vehicles are not much favored here but UK sure will be excited about the launch which is due somewhere in the autumn of 2012 which is approximately in September or later. In the meantime let’s wait and watch, what further plans Chevrolet has to keep itself in the news for some time to come.
