94,000 Toyota Sienna called back to fix faulty switch brackets
Toyota, the world's largest automobile producer is going through a tough time these days owing to the faulty part used in its Toyota Sienna minivans for the U.S. markets. This case has made this year also miserable for the company. Last year Toyota was struggling with the bundle of cases filed against it for accidents occurred due to sudden acceleration of its cars. Toyota had to call back 8.5 million vehicles in the beginning of this year.

But the concern of Toyota did not end here with U.S. filing a new suit against the company and this time the case is far complicated. The cars are claimed to be loaded with faulty bracket holding the brake-light switch. As per reports submitted by Wall Street Journal, Toyota Motors Corp. has announced a call back of 94,000 units of Toyota Sienna minivans in U.S. market to fix up the above mentioned problem. The recall of these faulty cars is expected in the month of January 2011 and the users will be informed about the fixation through an official notice sent by the company. This notice will include the guidelines as to what a user has to do if they come across this problem and then finally when in mid February 2011, the parts will be made available to company, the final notice will be dismissed asking for replacement of these faulty parts. The replacement will be free of cost for the users and will be executed by the company's dealers.
While addressing the prevailing issue, Toyota officials commented that the switch bracket used in Toyota Sienna might get deformed through driver's feet due to its placement near to parking brake pedal when depressed fully. As per the situation, sometimes the driver may face continuous turned on brake lights and in the extreme case the brake might get engaged partially.
The company officials admitting the flaw in their cars have decided to recall the faulty Toyota Sienna minivans and fix them at priority. The company will give all necessary notifications to the users and will execute it in a successful manner.
