    Tata Nano won Car of the year award

    Tata Nano the most popular small car in India has won Indian car of the year 2010. The Tata Nano model was launched in India in the month of May in 3 variants. The Tata Nano model recieved very good response from the buyers as the first lot of the Nano was booked even before its launch. All the cars and bikes launched in India in the last calendar year were eligible to compete for the award. The jury was consisting of 11 leading auto journalists from India and they came at a single Platform to vote for best car in India. All the cars are rated on a variety of parameters and the evaluation system was same in the World car of the year award.

    All the cars and bikes launched in India in the last calendar year were eligible to compete for the award.     The Tata Nano left behind all other 9 finalists chosen for the awards by the jury. Other then Tata Nano, the finalists includes, Chevrolet Cruze, Honda Jazz, Fiat Linea, Fiat Grande Punto, Mahindra Xylo, Maruti Ritz, Skoda Superb, Tata Indigo Manza, Toyota Fortuner and Maruti Ritz. The Nano accumulated a total of 63 points to win the Indian car of the year 2010. It doesn’t come as a big surprise though. It is a brilliant little car.
