Tata Nano to stay as cheapest car in India
Recent reports in Indian Automobile Industry states that Tata Nano is going to stay at number one position in the category of cheap cars in India. Proudly known as “1 lakh rupee car”, the Tata Nano currently tops the list of cheapest cars available in India. Earlier there were reports that alliance of Indian automobile giant Bajaj Auto, Renault and Nissan were in process developing the cheapest car with an aim of claiming the throne of cheapest car in India.

As per insider’s report, the alliance of Bajaj-Renault-Nissan is running through tough times due to differences in terms of quality and standards. Further sparking on the issue, MD of global car maker Renault India Marc Nassif left hints about leaving the car project in case the car developed by Bajaj auto did not match their standards. Nassif also commented that it is not necessary that their company buys the cars developed by Bajaj since there is no joint venture between them. He also said to have expressed that they will only stay with Bajaj if the cars developed by them maintain the quality standards or else they will go for something else.

As per reliable sources, this is the second time that differences between the partners are out in open. Earlier also, even Nissan had issues on the project. But, without showing any signs of discomfort, Bajaj Auto said that their company has designed, developed a low priced four-wheel goods carrier and the company will use the same platform for manufacturing the cars in India. It is worth mentioning that with difference coming up in the alliance, Tata Nano price will still going to be the unique selling point of Tata Nano car in India.
