Tata Nano to be used in Taj Hotels

Tata-promoted Taj Hotels is expected to add Tata Motors' most popular car Tata Nano to their line of chauffeur-driven cars used for guest transfers.

Tata Nano, which is one of the most popular cars in India and all over the world may become an integral part of Taj group if company decides to include it as chauffeur-driven cars.

Company always looks for synergies within the Tata Group by sharing of products and brands and It’s possible, going forward, when the production of the Nano is being stretched at some stage, that company would not rule out its being in one of our line-ups, said, Ajoy K Misra, senior vice president, sales and marketing, IHCL.

According to Tata Motors, it is not expecting widespread demand for the Nano as the demand would mostly come from international travellers coming to India.

There is much curiosity among automobile enthusiasts for Nano ever since the car was first unveiled. According to Tata Motors, it will take around one year to launch Tata Nano in international market, so foreign travellers can only get a chance to drive it in India. This is what will make Taj add the car to its line-up, as told by a Tata official to a leading news paper.

Tata Group is one of India's largest industrial group and it has a large number of company's spread across various segments including, Steel, Tea, Salt and IT.
