If looking at the sales graph, from July 2009 till December 2010, Tata Motors  has delivered more than 77,000 cars which includes the car buyers for the second lot and also open sales. The spokesperson from the company said that the customers for Tata Nano are waiting for the delivery of its car but it was their own choice to wait.

When quizzed from the official about the buyers cancellation of the bookings. He said that few cancellations were noted but many postponed the car delivery. Tata Nano facility was inaugurated in Sanand in Gujarat and in August 2010, Tata Motors started open sales in some states. Recently it was learnt that Tata Motors started open sales across India to enhance the sales which took a dip in November, 2010 by selling only 509 cars to 5,784 cars in December, 2010.

After the July sales of 9,000 cars Tata Nano car sales dipped in every month. The sales dip is because of the continuous incidents of Tata Nano catching fire as it was difficult to convince the customers about the safety and security of the small cars. To gain back the confidence of the car buyers and increase the sales, the auto company has introduced various schemes such as added safety features and also the company is fixing the defaults in the already sold cars. The mini wonder will now also come with a four year warranty or 60,000 km whichever comes first. When asked about the manufacturing capacity of Tata Nano from the spokesperson, he replied that the Indian car brand can deliver several cars at the same time.
