Tata ACE the pick up from the Indian utility maker is affixed with 4 stroke, two cylinder, 700 cc mill which is BS III complaint.
Now if the Tata Motors wishes to equip with the Tata Nano with the same mill it must mend the engine to comply it to BS IV emission norms as the maker does not wish to slash out on its buyers. Though 40 kmpl sounds incredible it will be difficult to achieve.

For this car 2 sell Tata needs 2 make some changes in Nano. First it can reduce the height a little bit and make it a bit wider and longer. The engine should b in the front like a normal car. The engine noise must b taken care of as it diesel engine. The tyres must of same size. It should have more power and speed. Mileage of 40kmpl will not be enough 2 sell as it can seen in the case of Nano petrol which inspite of being Highest mileage petrol car it doesn't sell.4 all these a bit increase in price will not b concern for buyers.
