Maruti Suzuki Extends Warranty, Free Service Deadlines For Its Customers

The extension is applicable to those whose free services and warranty expired between March 15 and June 30

Over the last year, carmakers have opted to extend service and warranty deadlines due to the lockdown. This time around, Maruti has offered this service to those affected by the lockdown due to the second wave of the pandemic.

The company has released a statement saying that all warranty, extended warranty, and free service deadlines that expired between March 15 and June 30, 2021, have now been extended up till July 31. While it is not explicitly stated, it is understood that the deadline extension is for both Maruti Suzuki Arena and NEXA vehicles.

Maruti had previously extended this deadline till June 30, but as the country is still coming out of lockdown, the carmaker has decided to extend it till July 31. You can head here to find out which carmakers are offering similar relaxations. While most of these companies had changed their deadlines to June 30, they might soon extend it further.

Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Director (Service), Maruti Suzuki India said, “We have decided to extend the free services, warranty and extended warranty for our customers till July 31st , 2021. This is being done to offer convenience to our customers, as they are facing restricted movement in current pandemic times. Now, customers can avail these services at their convenience, as lockdown eases. Our workshops are following all safety SOPs as mandated by the Government. In addition, for those who cannot visit the workshops, we have a complimentary vehicle pick and drop facility as well. We urge customers to avail these services for the better upkeep of their vehicles.”
