Hyundai likely to introduce 1.0-litre Kappa engine with Hyundai Eon
The South Korean car maker, Hyundai is expected to bring a 1.0-litre Kappa engine with their entry level car, Hyundai Eon. This would simply make this stylish hatch more powerful, and a fun to drive. If it comes with the new engine as mentioned above, then Eon might cost little higher than the existing model. The current model is powered by a 814cc, three-cylinder engine which churns max power of 55bhp and top torque of 75Nm.

While the new engine in question is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine which has got capabilities to churn max power of 65bhp and 95.12Nm of top roque. The engine specs are found with Hyundai i10 which trades in the European market. As far as Indian market is concerned, the company will tune it to offer better fuel efficiency.

Hyundai's small car, Eon, is in particular the most stylish of its segment, so we are not expecting any change with its design. But, the company might go for subtle facelift by adding minute detailing to its design. While, with the new engine, the Eon will be pitched more competitive against its rivals, mainly- Maruti Alto K10 and Datsun Go.
