The German makers has just celebrated the debut of their all new stunning hatch in India-Mercedes Benz A-Class. The car stands quite distinguishable in crowd and the makers has put in an extra efforts to make it all the more dynamic, sensuous and user friendly. This time the three pointed star makers has gone on a completely clean slate to come up something fresh basically for the younger generation. This time they dared to do something apart from the traditional C or E-Class of huge cars. The design is unique, quite aerodynamically and sporty. This one represents the younger face of Merc. Though it manages to conserve the primary impression of Mercedes. Mercedes Benz A-Class price is tagged within a competitive range so as to bring in more and more customers, automatically increase the customer base. Mercedes Benz A-Class A180 CDI(diesel) is priced at Rs. 21.93 lakh(ex-showroom, Mumbai) while the A180 Sport (petrol) is priced at Rs 22.73 lakh(Ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The interiors are made classy with all the exciting attributes. The high quality fit and finish makes the passengers feel inviting and soothing. The noticeable SLS air con vents, power steering and chunky infotainment dials makes the cabin appear luxury. The Mercedes derived attributes of course take the chance, it took an enormous amount of efforts to make this hatch much more comfy for the passengers.
Almost three years before, the C Class was considered as the dull and boring vehicle and a number of people called the design to be for the old people. Now, to continue the momentum, the German maker has been introducing a number of editions of C and Grand Edition C is one of the cars, which our expert drives.
Our expert states that this sedan is the same car and it only gets cosmetic updates like brushed aluminum finish on the dashboard, bade seats and panoramic sunroof. The C220 CDI did not get these features. The engine of the car is same and mechanically there is no change in that. The power and torque production is the same too.
It is expected that there would be some more features to come in, which is likely include a rear parking camera and paddle shifts. These features could be add ons to the list of the features that are being offered as the updates are minimal on this version of the car.
The C class was a memorable product by Merc but Grand Edition C does not stand anywhere in front of that. There is nothing grand about it except its price as per our expert.
