A Good Car For Offroading
It's a good car for off-roading, being an SUV with 4x4 automatic capability. While it's an okay choice for daily use, it might not have a lot of features. Good Performance
A quick update on my Thar. It has clocked a little over 12,500 kms at this point and has completed the second year of service. Running is low as I recently got a BMW for long-distance drives and the Thar is primarily used only for short city commutes. Mahindra Thar My Experience
I did travel by Thar Diesel MT 4X4 between Delhi and jaipur before returning to Delhi. I travelled about 1200 km in four days and used about 7000 liters of petrol. (mostly with AC on). Best Off Road Car
Mahindra Thar gives a very powerful performance and it comes with good safety features for its users, but it lacks a bit of comfort and the AC is not up to the mark still it's good for off-roading.

Thar Excellent Product
It is an excellent product with good suspension, average mileage, and good AC, but definitely need some more comfort like an armrest, electric steering, a metal top.

Best In 16 Lakh
No doubt everything is top-notch. Eye-catching leap ahead in technology. Although it has some niggles /bugs/problems infotainment hangs sometimes, spare parts are not available easily. Looking Cool.
Riding comfort is good. One of the best SUVs in India, but still got to provide better rear seats. Could've used better AC. Engine performance is excellent.

Overpriced.
It's overpriced. At least they should have provided an armrest, rear ac vent, dead pedal, and utilized side space in rear seats for LX version plus roof rails as an accessory.

Suggestion to Mahindra.
Should have an Armrest on the back seat and instead of speakers those should be an AC vent on the roof & of course, the front grill should be body-colored.
