Tata Motors Mine Protected Vehicles for the Jharkhand Police Force

Tata Motors have been associated with the country’s defence forces since the year 1958 and have supplied over 1, 00,000 vehicles to the Indian military and Paramilitary forces, so far. Adding to the list, the delivered 5 Tata Motors Mine Protected Vehicles (MPV) to the Jharkhand Police force, to strengthen the vigilance. These MPVs are based on modular flexibility and also integrate V-shaped hull blast protection technology, making the vehicles highly secured giving them high levels of mobility with combat survivability.

The MPVs were handed over to the Director General of Jharkhand Police, Gaurishankar Rath and other present were Bibhudi Bushan Pradhan who is the Additional Director General, Jharkhand Police, the Inspector General of Jharkhand Police (Modernization and Provision) Rajkumar K Mallick and Dinesh Parikh,Managing Director JMA Stores along with Sanjeev Shrivastava who is the Head Government Sales JMA Stores, at the Jharkhand Police Headquarters in Ranchi. The vehicles were handed over by the Head, Defence Sales, Tata Motors, Sandeep Saigal. For Tata Motors, the next prestigious order is from the Maharashtra State Police to whom they are to supply 32 MPVs, which the company has executed.

For the Tata defence vehicles the company has also set up dealer and service network in Jharkhand, in remote inaccessible areas so as to ensure easy availability of spare parts and so as to be able to provide benefits of AMC- Annual Maintenance Packages. Tata Motors Service Network ensures maximum operational readiness for defence vehicles all across the country. Mr. Vernon Norohna, VP Defence & Government Business, Tata Motors said that the company will take protection of the Jharkhand Police to the next level, even against the Improvised Explosive Device and anti-personnel mines.
