Skoda rejigged Rapid lineup in India
Skoda Auto India has silently revised the entire Rapid lineup, which now available in Active, Ambition Plus and Elegance trims. Earlier, the vehicle was available with the Ambition trim as well which has been discontinued now. However, the spec and other features remain unchanged in all trims.
The new Skoda Rapid Ambition Plus trim comes equipped with several safety and comfort features. The features include dual front airbags, leather-wrapped steering wheel, steering mounted controls, Bluetooth and USB compatibility, Child-proof rear window locking, Fuel supply cut-off in a crash, Acoustic warning signal for overrun speed and few more. The top-spec Rapid Elegance sports 15-inch alloys, halogen projector headlights with manual levelling, front passenger seat adjustment from rear seat and climate control.
Skoda Rapid is being offered in both petrol and diesel guise. While the gasoline model is propelled by a 1.6-litre MPI engine that produces 105bhp and 153Nm, the oil burner gets the 1.6-litre turbocharged engine producing 105bhp and 250Nm of torque.
