REVAi launched in Hyderabad

REVAi has been launched in Hyderabad by Mahindra REVA Electric Vehicles, today. The new electric car will be sold at selected Mahindra dealership in the city. The first two REVAi cars' key was handed over to Anurag Bajaj- a hotel owner in Hyderabad by Sabita Indira Reddy P. from the Ministry of Home, Jails, Fire Services and Sainik Welfare. The customers are also offered with finance facility through Mahindra Finance; the buyers need to pay EMI of Rs 8999 for three years and refundable deposit of Rs 1 lakh. The REVAi can either be owned permanently by making a final payment of Rs 50,000 or return the car and claim the refundable deposit.

The REVAi, an eco-friendly car, can be driven without gears and clutch; it does not feature tailpipe that claims it to be a zero emission vehicle. This fully automated drivable vehicle has been added with 'boost' mode that allows zipper acceleration and power. In addition to this, the REVAi comes featured with SUV like feature- hill restraint- which make it to be used on sloppy track. The electric car has got Energy Management System (EMS) that ensures maximum battery life and performance. The vehicle has also got a regenerative braking system; the braking energy pumps into the battery for regeneration. The car can be run up to 80 kilometers with 0-40 kmph in just seven seconds. The smaller size of the REVAi allows you to park it in squeeze parking area and helps you to make sharp corners easily with 3.5 meters of turning radius.

Mr. R. Chandramouli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra REVA said at the event that, they are delighted to unveil the new REVAi in the City of Nawabs. At present, the need of eco-friendly cars has become necessary due to increasing level of climate change and carbon emission thus the electric vehicle market will grow leaps and bounds.

Today Mahindra Reva has one of the largest deployed fleets of electric cars in the global market and has accumulated data from more than 100 million km of user experience. The company’s electric vehicle platforms, technologies and regional vehicle assembly are offered under license.
