Mercedes is a market leader in premium cars which include cars that are priced above 30 lakh and which is evident from the response which M class has got in last 15 days of launch in India by selling 150 cars at a price of 70 lakh in fortnight. Mercedes stands for safety globally and have technologically advanced systems in passive safety which are in their cars. Mr. Mitra also responded on the much anticipated B class, which is expected to launch around next quarter of the year, he further said it will be India's first Sports Tourer in a price band below 30 lakh and it will showcase a complete new design concept to India and will be 30% more fuel efficient than other cars of its category. Mr. Mitra also explained the personal lease policy of Mercedes-Benz in which a customer needs not to pay any upfront amount and can drive the car home by just paying an amount equivalent to a month's worth of lease. Mercedes-Benz will have similar events in near future to penetrate their brand position in India.
