There were speculations that Maruti Suzuki Alto 800's launch might get delayed due to the recent problems faced by the company at its biggest facility, Manesar that was locked out for over a month. But our close sources have now confirmed that the launch would take place on its scheduled time, which means during the festive season.

Sources have further said that the all new Alto 800 will replace the existing Alto, however Alto K10 will be retained. The company is waiting to clear the old stock of Altos at the moment. So if you can keep a little patience, you can buy the new Alto 800 instead of the existing one.

Like we reported earlier, the Alto 800 would be priced more than Rs 2lakh and not as everyone predicted it to be Rs 2lakh to compete with the Nano. Not just the price but there are other several reasons like better looks, availability of CNG variant, spaciousness, better interiors and some more to support the company's claims of making it the next ‘People’s Car’ of India, The CNG variant are likely to cost 30,000 more than the regular variants.

Stay tuned for more updates on the same. Cheers!
