Mahindra & Mahindra going to merge with Panjab Tractors

Mahindra Mahindra (MM) announced yesterday that Punjab Tractors has been merged with the company with effect from Feb 16, 2009.
As we all know that Mahindra Mahindra is a well diversified company having its presence in the auto sector, auto components, farm equipment, infrastructure development, telecom and software and trade and financial services. It is a leading name in the general-purpose utility vehicles market in India.
Shares of the Mahindra Mahindra company declined Rs 6.5, or 2.03%, to settle at Rs 314.45. The total volume of shares traded was 303,490 at the BSE (Monday).
