Hyundai Goes up 31 Ranks on Interbrand Best Brand list

Hyundai. A few years ago the name meant little to nothing to the automotive giants of the world. It was just another automaker from the Far East that offered no competition. That however is not the case anymore as things have taken quite an up-turn for the South Korean automaker.

According to Interbrand, the international brand consultancy firm, Hyundai, which has brought us popular vehicles like the Hyundai Eon, Verna, i10, i20 amongst many others, has risen with an extraordinary dexterity in the past few years. It is now considered amongst the fastest growing automakers in the world. At the moment Hyundai’s brand value is measured at USD 7.5 billion after seeing a growth of 24.4%. In 2011 Hyundai ranked 84 on the Best Brands list of Interbrand. 2012 sees it at rank 53, which is a massive leap of 31 ranks! It is also Hyundai’s best ranking up until now. In addition to this, Hyundai also side-stepped all other automakers to grab the top position in the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Customer Retention Study in the USA.

According to a spokesperson from Interbrand, Hyundai has been able to achieve all this and more due to its recent investments in global campaigns and its eye-catching new product designs that fulfil customer needs and requirements. He went on to add that the brand awareness for Hyundai has increased massively and they are looking forward to the brand’s future growth.
