Auto Expos are always exciting simply because the event provides some of the most entertaining and mind boggling designs, some of which just goes beyond the word strange. Honda demonstrated the same philosophy at the Auto Expo 2016 when it revealed its Project 2&4, which are basically a car without any cabin that according to the Japanese automaker delivers values of both a motorcycle and a car. According to Honda, the Project 2&4 concept car provides freedom of a motorcycle while keeping intact the ease of maneuverability of a car.

Honda has been giving a lot of push to Project 2&4, a prototype that won an internal competition organized by Honda within its studios worldwide, that included 80 engineers and designers. Honda’s Asaka motorcycle design centre’s Martin Petersson won the competition and his designing style is all over the new Project 2&4 concept car. Design wise, Project 2&4 comes with a beautifully crafted double wishbone suspension, a central fuel tank and adjustable dampers. The driver’s seat looks quite exposed that gives that element of thrill while making sure that the stability of car keeps you from falling off it.

Although, the Project 2&4 concept vehicle has been shown as a single seater, it actually comes with a removable space which along with a section of floor can be unbolted and taken out as and when desired. The vehicle borrows the same engine as RC213V, using a 999cc motor that gives away 212bhp power at 13000rpm via a custom pie-cut titanium exhaust system. At 405kgs, Project 2&4 is very light which is certainly going to boost its speed while the six speed dual clutch transmission system will enhance its control.
