MG Motor India has released a video teaser of the MG Windsor Pro ahead of its May 6 launch. The new top-of-the-line variant will get key updates in six areas. We recently spotted the Windsor EV Pro making use of its Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology. As for the remaining five clues, here’s what we think the 2025 MG Windsor EV Pro will bring.
What Does The Teaser Show?
The teaser begins by showcasing the new MG Windsor EV’s safety feature, highlighting its front ADAS radar, thereby confirming the presence of the safety feature in the EV.
Next, it reveals the larger battery pack, which is expected to be the same 50.6 kWh battery pack that is available in its Indonesian counterpart, the Wuling Cloud EV.
The MG Windsor EV Pro will also sport new alloy wheel designs to set it apart from the rest of the variants. Whether it will receive other styling updates remains to be seen.
Following that, the teaser presents the convenience features, which remain somewhat ambiguous. While it isn’t fully clear, the teaser focuses on the car’s tailgate, leading us to believe it may offer a powered tailgate for added ease. This feature is also currently missing from the existing model.
The teaser then hints at updates made to the dashboard, prominently displaying a new dual-tone black and copper interior theme with brown accents.
Finally, it confirms the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature in the Windsor Pro, which we have previously spotted in its test mule.
Other Expected Features & Safety
Besides V2L technology and ADAS, the MG Windsor Pro can bring a 4-way power adjustable co-driver seat and a powered tailgate. Other than that, it will retain the existing Windsor’s features with key highlights being a 15.6-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger and a 9-speaker Infinity audio system. Its newly themed cabin will carry the existing creature comforts such as ventilated front seats, 135-degree reclining rear seats, a fixed glass roof and 256-colour ambient lighting.
The safety suite will also retain the 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start and hill descent control, rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto hold and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Expected Powertrain
The MG Windsor EV is currently available with a smaller 38 kWh battery pack. The Windsor EV Pro will bring a bigger battery, the specifications of which are expected as found in its international counterpart.
