Mahindra’s latest EV promises more space, more tech, and a lot of range.

The XEV 9S, which is the all-electric 7-seater SUV, is expected to get the same electric powertrain options as the XEV 9e and hence could have a similar real-world range as well

Besides this new feature, the XEV 9S will also get a panoramic sunroof, a triple screen dashboard, and a Harman Kardon audio system

All the good bits of the XEV 9e will for sure make their way to the XEV 9S

Besides the two features revealed this time, we’ve already spotted a panoramic sunroof, three-screen display and sliding middle row seats in the previous teaser

This week was completely dominated by SUVs with new launches from Hyundai, teasers, special editions and milestones from Tata, Mahindra, Honda and Maruti

These additional features could eventually make their way to the XUV700 facelift as well!

The XEV 9S electric SUV will share its dashboard with the XEV 9e, including the three screen setup and a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated ‘infinity’ Mahindra logo

This is the first time that the XEV 9S has been shown (teased) officially and it reveals key exterior design elements like the grille, body cladding, wheels and lighting elements

Some major announcements from other manufacturers also made it to the headlines over the past week

The XEV 9S will be based on the dedicated INGLO electric platform

While the XEV 7e has the same silhouette and design as the XUV700, the fascia looks inspired from the recently launched XEV 9e electric SUV-coupe

The XEV 7e is the all-electric version of the Mahindra XUV700 and an SUV counterpart to the XEV 9e SUV-coupe

The electric version of the XUV 700 will feature a distinctive three-screen setup complemented by a uniquely shaped 2-spoke steering wheel.

The spied model had the same elongated LED DRL strip and vertically stacked LED headlights as its concept version that was showcased in August 2022
