The upcoming Thar facelift sports design tweaks, many of which are borrowed from the bigger 5-door Thar Roxx
The upcoming 3-door Mahindra Thar facelift has been spotted once again, this time revealing details of its front design and interior. This sighting follows our earlier spy shots that showcased the SUV’s rear design, which we’ve covered in this report. The latest images suggest subtle design changes, many of which appear to be inspired by its larger sibling, the Thar Roxx. Here’s a closer look at the new elements revealed in the latest spy shots:
What Could Be Spotted?
This is the first time the Thar facelift’s revised cabin has been snapped. It will continue with an all-black theme, staying true to its off-road-focused character. While the overall dashboard layout remains familiar, it now features the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Thar Roxx.
Keen-eyed viewers will also notice the presence of analogue dials in the instrument cluster in this test mule, but we expect the production-spec model to come with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. The power window switch control panel has also been shifted from the lower centre console to the front door panel. This test mule can also be seen with manual AC, but the final version could come with automatic climate control.
Other elements, such as the toggle switches, manual gear knob, and seat upholstery, appear largely unchanged.
This is also the first time Thar’s facelift fascia has been spotted, featuring a revised grille inspired by the 5-door Thar Roxx. The signature circular headlamps have also been retained, but they are likely to be LED projector units, albeit with different elements in them. Previous spy shots have shown its updated LED tail lamps and new 5-spoke alloy wheels.
Other Expected Features
Besides the larger infotainment screen, the Thar facelift is also expected to be equipped with new features like auto AC and an updated premium sound system. Other than that, it will carry ahead its existing features like steering-mounted controls, remote keyless entry, height-adjustable driver seat and cruise control.
When it comes to safety, it could come with 6 airbags (as standard), a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and an auto dimming internal rear view mirror (IRVM) while continuing with the electronic stability control (ESC), hill start and hill assist control and a roll cage.

Expected Price & Rivals
The facelifted 3-door Mahindra Thar facelift is expected to be launched sometime in 2026. It could be priced higher than the existing Thar, prices of which range between Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 17.62 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
Once launched, the Mahindra Thar facelift will continue to compete with the 3-door Force Gurkha and also serve as an alternative to the Mahindra Thar Roxx, Maruti Jimny, and the 5-door Force Gurkha.
