Toyota Sells One Millionth Car in India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has reached the milestone of One Million cars in reference to sales in India. The Japanese automaker reached its milestone by selling the Millionth car in the form of Toyota Etios which was handed over to its proud owner through an authorized dealer (Nippon Toyota) in the city of Cochin.
Speaking on the occasion, "N. Raja, Senior Vice President, TKM said, “The sale of Toyota’s one millionth car in India marks a very important milestone for us. Since its inception, Toyota has been present in the MPV/SUV segment in India and we have been market leaders ever since in these segments. It is only in 2011 that we forayed into the mass segment with the Etios & Liva and still have been able to realize this milestone in such a short duration".
Adding further, he said "as we achieve this significant landmark, I would like to thank our valuable customers, dealer partners, employees and suppliers for their support and commitment. We will continue to focus our efforts in bringing Toyota’s globally renowned QDR products to the Indian market”.
