Navi Mumbai Road Rage Caught on Tape

Santosh Shimlikar is one of the most recent victims of the overwhelming road rage, which is constantly increasing on Indian streets . The footage, captured by security cameras in Mumbai, presents pictures of a man lying on top of the bonnet of a speeding Swift, clinging on for his dear life on a busy road.

The incident unfolded when the car driver got into an altercation with a Volvo bus driver. the altercation resulted in fisticuffs and the bus driver was also assaulted by a bat in Navi Mumbai. The car driver also ended up smashing the windshield of the Volvo. To stop the assailant from making a quick escape, Santosh climbed onto the bonnet of Maruti Swift to force it to stop.

The valiant efforts of the bus driver were rendered futile, as he fell of the car after hanging onto the windscreen wipers, as it paced for another 300 metres.

A representative of law and order, in a yellow raincoat was also observed attempting to stop the car but was unable too, post which he instantaneously reached out for his phone, so as to inform the authorities.

The incident took place on 27the of july and since then the police have used the CCTV footage to track down the driver, who was identified as Abdul Rashid Ansari and was arrested four days after the incident. Santosh Shimlikar, has been released from hospital and had injuries to his head and legs.
