Maruti Suzuki Wins 'Manufacturer of the Year 2012' and 2 other Awards

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is the most beloved manufacturer in India, you can ask the same question any day and the answer will remain the same. When we asked the same question to our viewers, we got the same answer as well, 33.36 percent viewers choose Maruti Suzuki as the 'Manufacturer of the Year 2012' in CarDekho Awards 2012. It shows that how popular the brand is in India, and it seems that India follows their tag line “Count on Us”. And why not, Maruti Suzuki is known for their reliable cars, superb after sales services and a Maruti Suzuki workshop at every corner of the country. This wonderful relation dates back to early 80's, when in the year 1983, Indian Govt. and Suzuki Motors jointly established Maruti Udyog and rolled out the legendary Maruti 800, which changed the whole scenario of the Indian automotive Industry.
Maruti Suzuki has launched some most famous and successful cars in the past including Maruti 800, Maruti Omni, Maruti Gypsy, Zen, Esteem, Alto, WagonR, Swift, Swift Dzire and their latest entrant Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and all of these have been loved by Indians. There were a total 5 Maruti Suzuki Cars were nominated under 4 different categories, where Maruti Swift and Maruti Swift Dzire won “ The Most Popular Premium Hatchback 2012” and “The Best Sedan 2012” awards respectively, while other cars including Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, WagonR and Ertiga also got massive votes. The Swift won the award with a total of 39.56 percent votes, while Dzire got a total 33.59 percent votes showing how popular the cars among masses are.
Recently, we visited Maruti Suzuki headquarters to present the trophies to the manufacturer. Amit Jain- Founder, CarDekho; Mohit Yadav- AVP, Corporate Strategy CarDekho; and Mekhla Maheshwari- Senior Manager, Media Sales presented the 'Manufacturer of the Year 2012' trophy to Mayank Pareek- COO, and Manohar Bhat - VP Marketing, Maruti Suzuki.
While 'The Most Popular Premium Hatchback 2012' trophy was presented to Ashish Jain - Brand Manager, Swift, Sanjeev Handa - General Manager Marketing and Manohar Bhat - VP Marketing received the 'Best Sedan, 2012' trophy. Maruti Suzuki currently holds around 45 percent of market share in India and the credit goes to their superb fleet of the vehicles and joint efforts of the team Maruti Suzuki.
Mayank Pareek, COO, MSI, an ex-alumni of IIM Bangalore, who joined the company in 1991, knows the Indian automotive industry and requirements of Indian buyer well, which also reflects in MSI's brilliant line-up. The joint efforts of Mayank Pareek, Manohar Bhat and their team has brought the success to MSI and our viewers have proved it yet again by accolading the brand Maruti with these three significant awards.
