Hyundai Presents the 12th Family Fun Car Rally 2012

The 12^th Family Fun Car Rally was held on Sunday in the Capital city. The event was flagged off from Tivoli Garden. There were over 100 Hyundai cars that participated in the event which was based on the ‘Soaked in the Spirit of Cricket’ theme which was in lines of the ICC World Twenty20 for which Hyundai is the title sponsor. The title sponsor for the 12^th Family Fun Car Rally event was Hyundai Motor India, Associate Sponsor- Indian Oil and Co-sponsored by Liberty Foot Fashion, EGE Global Education, Graphis Ads and Liviano Lights. This event is all about the sense of direction and general knowledge.

The participants were dressed as famous cricketing icons and they were to traverse Delhi roads finding the marshals and completing various tasks. The participants got an opportunity to collect lucky scores by picking up points which were in sealed envelopes, solving puzzles and also by solving questionnaires based on General Knowledge. These were held at the marshal booths that were scattered along the 65km long route. Till the last participant crosses the finish line, the secrecy about the name of the final winner is maintained. The winner is decided basis the points picked up by the participants.

The race was flagged off by Honorable Sri Satyendra Garg, Joint Commissioner, Delhi Traffic Police, Dr. Yogananad Shastri, Speaker Delhi Vidhan Sabha and Hyundai Motor India officials. It had happened for the first time ever that a rally was flagged off at dusk and provided all participants with a wholesome family evening full of fun, excitement & thrill. Apart from the title, there were also prizes for the ‘Best Decorated Car’and participants were to dress themselves up, to contest for the ‘Best Dressed Family’.

Commenting on the 12^th Family Fun Car Rally 2012, Mr Nalin Kapoor, Group Head & Sr. GM- Marketing, HMIL, said, “The Family Fun Car rally is an effort aimed at engaging with our customers and at the same time giving them an opportunity to enjoy with their family. We are delighted to see the overwhelming response.” Further, Mr Mukesh Jain, Director, Rashi Entertainment, who organized the event, said that "When the Family Fun Car Rally was envisioned twelve years ago, the idea was to create an event for exotic car enthusiasts who wanted to enjoy a day out in the sun with their families, we are incredibly thankful to have generous participants and Sponsors onboard".
