BMW launches BMW 520d in India
The luxury car maker BMW has launched the all new BMW 520d in India. Elated at the launch of this new model, Dr. Andreas Schaaf, President, BMW India stated that the 5 series is an important model in the company's portfolio and that the 520d will set a benchmark for the four cylinder diesel engine sedans currently available in the Indian market. The model from BMW, BMW 520d offers fuel economy of 18.4 kmpl (measured by ARAI) that is best in its class.

This executive sedan priced at INR 36,90,000 (all India ex-showroom) comes as a Completely Knocked Down unit to be produced at BMW plant in Chennai. The two lire four cylinder turbo diesel engine with eight speed AT in the BMW 520d delivers the maximum output of 184 hp and a peak torque of 380 Nm at 1750 rpm. The sedan can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 8.1 seconds reaching to its maximum speed at 225 kmph.
The new BMW 520d is offered in ten exciting colors schemes such as Sophisto Grey Brilliant Effect, Titanium Silver, Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect, Havanna, Milano Beige, Space Grey, Black Sapphire, Cashmere Silver, Deep Sea Blue and Alpine White.
