The MG Hector has been the talk of the town since even before it was spied testing on our roads last year. It promised to bring tech features earlier unknown to Indian audiences. And boy has it lived up to that promise. While the buzz around its tech specs and features still hasn't died, not much has been said about how MG has prioritised safety with the Hector. • Pulse Hub: An app on the infotainment system, this lets you call primary as well as emergency numbers, in the event of a mishap. The Pulse Hub also comes in handy when you want to contact roadside assistance or general assistance services at the touch of the I-Call button.

• AI-based Voice Commands: The Hector comes with AI-based voice commands that allow you to control the AC and sunroof, among other functions, without taking your eyes off the road. The system can detect over 100 voice commands and is activated by the hot word, “Hello MG”.

• Geo-Fencing upto 100km: As soon as the car goes out of a fixed perimeter, the owner gets a notification regarding the same. It is very helpful especially when a driver is given the charge of the vehicle.

• Vehicle Collision Alarm: Again a feature for chauffeur-driven cars, the system sends a notification to the owner in case of a collision.

• Speed Alert System: The system notifies the owner if the Hector goes over 80kmph and 120kmph. This is particularly helpful when handing over the car to your children or the driver, as you can keep a check on if they are speeding or not.

• Stolen Vehicle Tracking Assistance: It allows you to check the location of your MG Hector in the event of theft.
