Morris Garages stands for innovation, and this is evident when you see the British brand’s stall at the Expo

MG has caught the pulse of the Indian auto market with its connected SUVs - Hector and ZS EV. Now the brand wants to give visitors at the Auto Expo 2020 a taste of future tech and innovation with a dash of British panache at their stall. Featuring dedicated zones highlighting MG’s journey from 1924 to date, the stall aims to enrich visitors’ experiences and inform newcomers about the brand’s rich pedigree.

Let’s have a closer look at these Zones to better understand what MG has in store for us this expo.

  1. Information Zone and Liverpool connection

To the left of the MG stall at the expo is the information centre, where visitors can come and get specific information on anything related to MG. While an information counter is nothing new at the expo, it is MG’s innovative approach here that makes it so innovative. Look around and you will see how the brand talks about the evolution of the MG logo in its long history from 1923 to the present day. Football fans can also recognise the Liverpool branding, MG’s global automotive partner since last year.

  1. London Street

If you were unaware that MG is a British brand just look around the stall. What makes the MG stall so unique at the expo is the personal feel it gives. Where most stalls look like glorified car showrooms, MG has taken an innovative approach here as well. The London Street Zone gives subtle hints of Britishness, with paved walkways, park benches, street lights and the scaled-down version of the Big Ben.

  1. Merchandise Zone and Hello MG Gaming Zone

Walk ahead and you are greeted to the brand merchandise section where you can choose different merchandise available from MG. These include t-shirts with MG branding and cool laptop bags, to name a couple. Adding to the overall experience is the MG MGA classic car parked in this section.

At this point, if you think MG is a brand all about nostalgia you just have to look at the gaming wall next to the merchandising zone. Like other sections, the gaming wall is an interactive zone where visitors can race the MG ZS EV on London streets, competing with their friends to reach the finish line.If racing through the streets of London is not your thing then check out MG’s Experience Drive.

Ever fancied being shot (with a video camera ofcourse) while driving through the streets of London? Well the Experience Drive is just that! Just head to the Merchandise Zone at the MG pavilion to have a go.

  1. i-Smart Zone

The MG Hector took the Indian SUV market by storm and it is not hard to see why. Yes, it is a good looking SUV which offers space and safety tech in equal proportion. What made the Hector an outlier in its segment is i-Smart tech. This tech offered features never seen in this segment like voice command, SIM card-based Pulse Hub assist, and over the air updates just to name a few. If you don’t own an MG but would like to check out these features, the i-Smart Zone is where you should be headed to experience this future tech in all its glory.

  1. Meet Avira, the brand mascot

While MG has a glorious past it understands the ever-changing landscape of tech all too well. With the introduction of the ZS EV, MG understood that it needs to talk about the change and technology and how it will benefit future generations. Avira, MG’s brand mascot, is an effort in this direction. Avira talks about MG’s future technology and how it will benefit us today. You can personally meet and ask Avira questions about EV tech as well. She is hanging around next to the i-Smart Zone, ready to answer all your queries.

Avira is MG’s effort for a greener today and how every individual can do their part in this effort. To know more about just have a look at the center stage.

  1. Electric Zone

While many manufacturers talk about the electric future, MG is the first brand to have an electric SUV within a year of entering India. At the expo, MG has a whole stage just dedicated to electric vehicles. These are different electric vehicles that are sold in the global market and highlight MG’s expertise in electric passenger vehicles.

A display of how the internals of an electric motor works can be seen in the center stage of the hall. MG has empowered Indians with a no compromise electric vehicle - the ZS EV. Now it’s your turn to make the change.

Conclusion

It's more than just shiny cars on the show floor of the MG stall in Hall No. 5. It's more about interaction with technology from the past, present and future. And MG has taken the same approach for its Expo stall as it does with its cars by putting people in the heart of tech.
