Jeep began its Indian innings under the FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) group in 2016 when it launched the Wrangler Unlimited, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT. All three were brought in as CBU (completely built-up units) and featured substantially premium price tags. Since that put the Jeep badge out of reach for many buyers, the iconic American SUV maker decided to make itself more accessible with the launch of the made-in-India Compass in 2017.
The Jeep Compass is being manufactured at FCA India’s Ranjangaon facility which exports the same to several right-hand drive markets as well. The Jeep Compass got off to a dream start, taking on mid-size SUVs like the Mahindra XUV500 and the Hyundai Tucson. In mid-2019, Jeep India introduced the most off-road centric version of the Compass, the Trailhawk, with a BS6-compliant diesel engine. While the Compass is a 5-seater, Jeep will launch a made-in-India 7-seater SUV in a couple of years which will aim right at the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.

I own 2 Jeep vehicles, Compass since 2020 & Meridian since 2023! I've driven Compass till 2023 and then Meridian. I drove compass to Jaisalmer covering most of Rajasthan & mostly to Uttarakhand with Meridian I travelled from Gurgaon to Rameshwaram in 2024 & in 2025 to Ahmedabad, Gir, Somnath & Dwarkadhis and finally finished covering road to heaven and back to Gurgaon. I can vouch for the Meridian, it gave me an average of 24/km on both the long roads covered! A fabulous vehicles-sturdy, luxurious, strong a class apart! Overall nice experience.Read More
My uncle owns the base model of the wrangler but this is the best car from city to offroad it does, it's job well at 140+ speed, it's stable on highway and smooth like butter. It's completely built for abuse and the best vehicle I've ever experienced, honestly the looks are awesome and so many modifications options like detaching roof and doors, bumper mounts, and many more, honestly a must buy if anybody is looking for a 4x4 off-roader in high budget.Read More

Good Comfort for long drive. Aproach and departure angle could have been more to tackle offroad tracks. Mileage is great depending on driving behaviour. Maintainance cost is high as the parts are not Made in India. Software gliches are common. Good for 4 member. 5 could feel conjusted.
