Things We Don't Like

  • Dummy buttons, especially on the steering wheel, take away from premium feel.
  • Petrol engine's real world fuel efficiency is weak.

The highlight of the Compass’ package, however, has to be the price. It starts from around Rs 15.2 lakh, which is over Rs 2.5 lakh cheaper than the entry-level price of its its primary rival, the Hyundai Tucson.

Jeep Compass 2017-2021 Car Latest Update

Latest Update: Jeep has unveiled the India-spec Compass facelift and will launch it on February 4.

Jeep Compass Price: The Compass is priced from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Jeep Compass Variants: It is available in four variants: Sport Plus, Longitude, Longitude Plus, and Limited Plus.

Jeep Compass Seating Capacity: Jeep offers the Compass in a 5-seater layout.

Jeep Compass Powertrains: It comes with a choice of two engines: one petrol and one diesel. The petrol engine is a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit developing 163PS/250Nm, whereas the diesel engine is a 2.0-litre unit that belts out 173PS/350Nm. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard with both the engines. A 7-speed DCT is offered with the petrol variants and a 9-speed auto with the diesel.

Jeep Compass Features: The Compass gets a panoramic sunroof, an 8-way adjustable driver seat, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also gets engine start-stop (all variants) and cruise control (all automatic variants) as standard.

Jeep Compass Safety: Safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ESP, and ISOFIX child seat mounts are offered as standard across all variants. It gets upto four airbags in higher variants.

Jeep Compass Rivals: It rivals the likes of the MG Hector, Hyundai Tucson, Mahindra XUV500, Tata Harrier, Volkswagen T-Roc, and Skoda Karoq.
