Mahindra Verito Hatchback to be launched in September 2012
The Verito based compact sedan has been launched in India some time back and now this Indian auto giant, Mahindra will be providing a new body style car with Verito Hatchback on the same platform. Mahindra India will be launching its Verito Hatchback by September 2012. But till the date there are no images (spy shots) of the car on the web which doubt the launch and make the car more mysterious though all the details about the car are being announced by the Mahindra official Mr. Arun Malhotra, who is the Senior Vice-President of Sales and Customer Care at Mahindra.

Mahindra Verito sedan will be coming out with a facelift version, the sibling of the car i.e. the hatchback version will be the first car from Mahindra in the Indian small car market where in the competition is high but profits are more. Mahindra will be soon launching the compact sedan version of the Verito as per the rumors. Dacia Logan gave the right to French automaker Renault to build the sedan. But Mahindra bought the rights to build the sedan in India and relaunched it as Mahindra Verito which is performing quite well in the country.
The hatchback variant of the Verito remains ambiguous on the terms of it positioning and its features. The car may have a length of four meters with smaller boot space. The shorter the length of the car, the lower will be the excise duty which means that the cost of the car will decrease. The car may be incorporated with a Renault sourced K9K, 1,461cc turbo diesel engine. The tradition of Mahindra tells that the petrol version of the car may not be an option. Also the shift from petrol to diesel in the Indian car market will pursue the Mahindra to incorporate a diesel engine in the car.
