Honda India marks 45% growth in September; Mobilio RS deliveries Start!
Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), registers 45 percent growth in September 2014 with a total sales of 15,015 units compared to 10,354 units sold during the same period last year. Furthermore, last month City's production started again at Honda's new plant in Tapukara after a month's halt courtesy, production shifting from Greater Noida to Tapukara. And later last month, Honda also started deliveries of Mobilio RS, the sportier looking version of the MPV.
“We continue to perform strongly with strong demand for all our models during this festival period.” “Our top performer Honda City successfully resumed its production during September 2014 and in coming months we will be able to ensure better availability and timely deliveries to fulfill the huge demand,” delighted on the performance of Honda cars last month, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd, commented.
Speaking about the sales of each models individually, Brio stood at 1,152 unit while its twin compact sedan – Honda Amaze records 3,848 units. 4600 units of City sedan were sold last month while 5329 units of Mobilio sold along with 86 units of C-RV. The company also exported 380 units last month.
Mobilio RS deliveries started from 23rd of September; RS packs sportier add-ons inside-out that distinguishes it from stock Mobilio. Speaking of which, at the front it gets dual-slat chrome grille, projector headlamps with day-time-running-LEDs, meaner looking bumpers, side skirts and rear spoiler. On the inside, Mobilio RS adds touchscreen infotainment system with faux wood inserts on the dashboard.
