2013 Volkswagen Golf; Video Teaser
Recently a teaser video has been found going viral for the new 2013 Volkswagen Golf. The model is expected to be unveiled during the Paris Motor Show. Though the car has been covered but quite a few of the vehicle body shell and the MQB platform has been revealed from the small clipping. One of the slides shows that the car will weigh around 100kgs lesser than the prevailing model and will be 23% more efficient.

There will be a number of high-tech features like emergency city braking, lane assistant, adaptive cruise control and fatigue / traffic sign detection and also a progressive steering, LED fog lights etc are expected. Though weighing lesser, the new Volkswagen Golf will be slightly bigger than the current model with 59mm larger wheelbase.
There are two new 4-cylinder engines expected. The petrol version will be the EA211 series which will have varying power outputs that range from 59bhp to approximately 148bhp. The diesel will be the EA288 engine developing a power in the range of 89bhp to 187bhp.
