Kia Carens Clavis EV Official Bookings Commence Across India
The first mass-market all-electric model from Kia is available in three broad variants and two battery pack options
Kia India has begun accepting bookings for its first mass-market electric offering, the Carens Clavis EV. If you’re planning to get one, you can reserve it at your nearest Kia dealership or register your interest on the brand’s official website. Prices for the Clavis EV range from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 24.49 lakh (introductory ex-showroom, pan-India), and here’s a quick look at what it offers.
Kia Carens Clavis EV Design
The Kia Carens Clavis EV shares its design with its ICE-powered counterpart but features EV-specific elements that help it stand out. While it gets the same closed-off grille and triangular LED headlights, what’s different is a full-width light bar, a charging port positioned below it and active air flaps as seen on the Hyundai Creta Electric.
The side profile remains familiar with roof rails and body cladding that give it a rugged stance, while the 17-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels enhance its visual appeal. At the rear, the connected LED tail lamps have been carried over, but it gets a new high-mounted stop lamp.
Kia Carens Clavis EV Interior
Inside, the cabin of the Carens Clavis EV feels familiar to the ICE-powered model, thanks to its dashboard layout and twin-screen setup. What’s different, however, is that it gets a new dual-tone white and grey colour scheme inside that adds to the sense of roominess. However, unlike the Clavis, which is available in both six and seven-seat configurations, the Clavis EV is offered only as a 7-seater.

Kia Carens Clavis EV Rivals
The Kia Carens Clavis EV rivals directly with the BYD eMax 7, while serving as an all-electric option over the Toyota Innova Hycross and the Maruti Invicto. In addition, its pricing and form factor put it in the same space as electric SUVs like the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and Hyundai Creta Electric.
