Renault-Dacia Lodgy India bound?
In the Eastern Europe, Renault is known as Dacia, who is all ready and prepared to introduce its new multi purpose vehicle or MPV, Renault-Dacia Lodgy at the prominent 2012 Geneva Motor Show. This brand new MPV by Renault keeps the ability to adjust about 7 adults with utmost ease and also comprise of lot of space to store luggage during journeys and trips. Toyota Kirloskar Motors and Maruti Suzuki also displayed their MPVs at the Auto Expo 2012, New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki India introduced Maruti Ertiga, whereas Toyota launched the face-lifted version of its cash cow, Toyota Innova. Hyundai also introduced its concept MPV, Hyundai Hexa Space at the Auto Expo 2012.

Renault wasn’t missing at the Auto Expo 2012 scenario and showcased a handful of exciting products, which comprise of its much awaited SUV in India, Renault Duster that is expected to hit the retail showrooms in the month of April 2012. However, Renault-Dacia Lodgy MPV could be Renault’s next car that could come to India. It is pretty clear this year that the SUV and the MPV segment of the Indian car market will see an exciting competition as Maruti Suzuki entered the MPV segment this year. Therefore, Renault-Dacia Lodgy might be the obvious choice for Renault that should come to India after Renault Duster.
The new Renault-Dacia Lodgy MPV looks quite stylish and good-looking. The front end of the car has a striking similarity to Renault Koleos whereas under the hood, it is expected that it would come with an economical diesel engine. If launched in India with a diesel engine, it is quite expected that the car would be a success. However, it is also important that Renault should price its new MPV keeping in mind the competition in the global car market.
