Mahindra Updates Scorpio Lineup; S4+ and S4+ 4WD added
Mahindra, the homegrown manufacturer has updated its Scorpio lineup by adding two new variants S4+ & S4+ 4WD. In the process, S4 4WD is discontinued. Both the S4+ and S4+ 4WD are placed above the S4 trim. The Ex-Showroom Delhi price of S4 variant is Rs 9,29,578 while the S4+ gets a price tag of Rs 9,70,786 and the S4+ 4WD Rs 10,83,630.

The S4+ trim now gets safety features like ABS (Anti-lock braking system), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution System), dual front airbags for both driver and front row passenger, seatbelt-reminder warning, panic brake indication and auto-door lock while driving. The S4+ model also embraces features like follow-me-home headlamps while the S4+ 4WD gets black side cladding.
Both the S4 and S4+ models are powered by 2179cc mHawk, 4 cylinder engine that churns a max power of 120bhp at 4000rpm and peak torque of 280Nm at 1800-2800rpm. The engine is mated to 5-speed manual transmission.
Recently, the home grown manufacturer achieved a milestone of manufacturing 50 lac vehicles. While in December 2014, the automaker witnessed a growth of 5 per cent as it retailed 17,311 units of passenger vehicles compared to 16,436 units in December 2013.
