Mahindra & Mahindra going to merge with Panjab Tractors

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) announced yesterday that Punjab Tractors has been merged with the company with effect from Feb 16, 2009.
As we all know that Mahindra & Mahindra is a well diversified company having its presence in the auto sector, auto components, farm equipment, infrastructure development, telecom and software and trade and financial services. It is a leading name in the general-purpose utility vehicles market in India.
Shares of the Mahindra & Mahindra company declined Rs 6.5, or 2.03%, to settle at Rs 314.45. The total volume of shares traded was 303,490 at the BSE (Monday).
