Indian auto ancillaries goes global with ACMA

India's Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) organized a ‘Tech Expo’ with five prominent global OEMs in USA. Around 20 component manufacturing companies participated in this event. The 'Tech Expo' was organized for five days in USA and was backed up by global players like Fiat Chrysler, Ford, Polaris, Cummins, Kohler and few other tier-1 companies in the vicinity of Indianapolis. The Expo was also majorly supported by Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and witnessed 800 visitors in the five day event. The 20 alliance companies, formed a team of 32 delegates which visited several cities from Detroit to Minnesota.

“With an initiative of this kind we wish tostrengthen our relationship and enhance business opportunities with the OEMs from different countries. The expo has received an encouraging response from the participating OEMs and we wish to plan more such expo’s to harness growth opportunities across Industries.” stating at the event, Mr. Harish Lakshman, President, ACMA. This initiative was made to spread the Indian auto component manufacturers business worldwide. The Expo served as a platform for a direct communication between the OEMs and the component manufacturers, to better understand global standards.

Automechanika Dubai 2014

ACMA along with its 46 members took part in the 2014 Automechanika Dubai. The event was inaugurated by H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Dubai Roads. The ACMA pavilion was inaugurated by Mr. Anurag Bhushan, Consul General, ACMA. The alliance members showcased their offering in a three day event held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hall 2, a 400 sq.m exhibition hall. Automechanika saw 1,695 visitors from 59 countries witnessing 30,000 visitors, its one of the biggest ancillary show in United Arab Emirates. The show focused on bodywork, paintwork, washing, tyres and batteries and various other workshop equipments.
