After witnessing a prosperous year of 2014, Honda has set high goals for the new year 2015. The company is looking to further solidify its position by achieving new sales record and to achieve that, the automaker has lined up couple of new launches in coming months. The company has already introduced Audio Video Navigation in Brio and Amaze and it’s further expected that the automaker will launch the next gen Honda Jazz in a month or two. We have compiled a list of cars that Honda might launch in India.

All-New Honda Jazz

The baby City getting diesel powertrain

First showcased at the last year’s Auto Expo, the production of this premium hatch has begun at the Honda’s production facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan (Spied Pics), suggesting an early arrival. Evidently, Honda has realised the value of kitna deti hai! as this time Honda Jazz embraces fuel efficient 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine churning a power of no less than 99bhp. Further if media reports are to be believed, expect petrol variant getting CVT automatic transmission with steering-mounted paddle shifters. The car lock horns with Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Elite i20, Fiat Punto Evo and Volkswagen Polo. We hope that Jazz in terms of sales will follow the footsteps of its successful sibling City and Amaze.

Next Gen Honda Accord

The iconic Accord with Plug-In Hybrid Tech

This premium sedan is expected to mark its entry by the end of 2015 or in early 2016. Honda Accord will now feature either a 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine or a 2.2-litre i-DTEC diesel engine along with the one model getting a Plug-In Hybrid technology. The car is already available in United States and other North American countries. With Plug-In Hybrid option, the automaker looks to dent the sales of Toyota Camry.

Honda’s offering on the tempting Compact SUV Segment

This sub-4 meter compact SUV is also believed to be introduced in Indian auto sector anytime soon. When launched, the car will compete against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster and other compact SUVs. About the engine specification, its speculated that the vehicle will feature 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine and 1.2-litre/1.5-litre i-VTEC engines.

Honda CR-V

The Big SUV getting a Big Diesel Engine

The premium SUV is also expected to see a major makeover by getting a fuel efficient diesel engine. The SUV is said to feature a 2.2-litre i-DTEC diesel engine which is already available in UK and other countries. The engine musters a max power of 148bhp with peak torque of 350Nm, while in petrol front, the automaker may retain its 2.0-litre and 2.4-litre i-VTEC engines.
