Sell car at Cardekho Gaadi store, 200 stores to open across India by 2020

Gaadi store, a retail auction model for pre-owned cars, today opened three stores in Jaipur, the city where the company started in 2008. Since then CarDekho has grown rapidly and even expanded into international markets. It has steadily built trust with consumers as a dependable, hassle-free platform to sell pre-owned cars in a more streamlined and transparent manner.

The opening of these stores is part of an ambitious move by CarDekho to establish 200 stores across India by 2020. It already has 32 stores in Delhi-NCR and Bangalore. Jaipur stores launch is in conjunction with the opening of stores in Pune and Lucknow.

Jaipur is witnessing a surge in car sales, especially of pre-owned cars. CarDekho Gaadi brand is well known for providing a hassle-free vehicle selling experience to customers and offers optimum resale value for their cars. The stores will also help customers with RC transfer, loan closure assistance, instant money transfer, and methodical inspection of cars.

Commenting on the launch move, Mr Amit Jain, Co-founder and CEO of CarDekho said, “CarDekho began its journey more than a decade ago from Jaipur as an online automobile company. Today we are a trusted auto brand in the country. It is a tremendous feeling to launch our new CarDekho Gaadi stores in Jaipur, to come back to where it all started and serve our customers. We not only help customers in buying / selling cars but also assist them in making the right choice. We help them leverage their access to knowledge & our expertise in all areas relating to purchasing a new car or managing a pre-owned vehicle.”

Vibhor Sahare, Co-founder and CEO of Gaadi said, "We are deeply entrenched in the used car ecosystem and now want to help customers to sell their cars with the utmost ease. Our rapidly increasing operations in multiple cities reaffirm our belief in the space. We’ll continue to invest our time and energy in building a trusted platform for selling used cars in India.”

According to a study by McKinsey & Company, the used-cars segment will continue to grow in India. By 2021, India is projected to become the third largest market for used cars. Besides, due to the growing focus on the lifespan of cars and stricter norms on emissions and safety, people are wary of purchasing new vehicles. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), in a similar forecast, states that market growth will increasingly be driven by rising penetration of online platforms such as Gaadi, that enable used car dealers to reach larger audiences.
