जीएसटी का लाभ ग्राहकों तक पहुंचाने के लिए टाटा मोटर्स ने कारों के दाम 12 फीसदी तक कम किए हैं, कंपनी के इस फैसले के बाद टाटा की कारें 3,300 रूपए से लेकर 2.17 लाख रूपए तक सस्ती हो गई हैं।
जीएसटी (गुड्स एंड सर्विस टैक्स) का कार बाजार पर काफी सकारात्मक असर पड़ा है, पहले जहां कई तरह के टैक्स जैसे वैल्यू एडेड टैक्स और अलग-अलग सेस लगते थे, उनके स्थान पर अब जीएसटी को लागू किया गया है, इससे कारें पहले की तुलना में सस्ती हो गई हैं।
टाटा से पहले दूसरी कई कार कंपनियां भी अपनी कारों के दाम कम कर चुकी है, इस लिस्ट में होंडा भी शामिल है।
